Murphy Bed With Desk

Why choose between a proper workspace and a comfortable bed when you can fit both into the same room? A Murphy bed with a desk brings the two together in one clever design. The bed folds neatly away when you’re not using it, while the built-in desk gives you plenty of room for work, study, hobbies or whatever else the day brings.

Explore Troya’s range of wall beds with desks to find a design that works harder for your space.

How a Wall Bed with Desk Works

A wall bed with a desk brings the bed and workspace together in one clever unit. The bed hinges inside a wall-mounted cabinet and opens smoothly with the help of hydraulic pistons, making it easy to lower and lift with one hand. When the bed is tucked away, the built-in desk is ready for work, study or hobbies, without needing a separate piece of furniture taking up more room.

When it’s time to open the bed, the desk moves with the system and the supporting legs come into position, giving you a comfortable sleeping setup in just a few moments.

Does the Desk Stay Level When the Bed Folds Down?

Yes. Troya’s Murphy bed desk is self-levelling, so the work surface stays horizontal as the bed opens and while it’s in use. That means the desk doesn’t simply tilt forward with the bed.

Self-levelling desks are available across different models, including:

• Eco
• Spazio
• Royal
• Bunk

We also have options ranging from long singles to queens.

Who a Desk Bed Suits

A desk bed suits any room that has to work harder than its floor allows. Think of a home office that doubles as the guest room, or a studio where the bed and the desk can’t both stay out. A desk bed keeps the mattress out of sight by day. A bed desk combo also suits renters and downsizers who want one piece of furniture, not two.

Only need the bed? A standard wall bed does that.

Study Beds for Students and Small Rooms

A study bed puts the desk and the bed in one footprint, which suits students and teenagers. The Spazio Studio Study Single combines a bed, desk, wardrobe, drawers, bookcase and mirror in one unit. The Eco Long Single with desk gives taller students extra length in a compact room.

We ship every study bed across Australia.

Queen and Double Desk Beds

A queen wall bed with desk gives couples and guests a full-size mattress, while a double saves wall width. Browse the queen Murphy bed range for the Royal Bella and Royal Nova with desk, or the double Murphy bed range for the Spazio double with desk.

Choosing a Wall Bed with Desk

Measuring your space

Measure the wall width and ceiling height, then the clear floor in front when the bed is open. Add the desk and a chair. Tape the open bed and a chair space on the floor before you commit.

Vertical or horizontal fold

A vertical fold stands the bed on its end and needs the ceiling height. A horizontal fold turns the bed sideways, suits lower ceilings and fits under windows. Our desk models come in both.

Matching your room

Match the size to the room’s main job. A single or long single suits a study, and a queen suits a spare room with regular guests.

European-Made and Warranty

Every Troya wall bed with a desk is made in Europe from quality European materials. The bed comes with a 5-year warranty, and the pistons carry a lifetime warranty. A bed that’s also your desk gets used twice a day, so that insurance matters.
